how fast could i lose 15 pounds this way?

i’m 13 and my doctor says i need to lose weight. i want to lose 15 pounds by february 20th. i usually eat 1000 calories or less everyday and i usually play wii fit for an hour or more everyday. because it’s winter and i don’t have access to a gym, wii fit is the only exercise i can do. how quick will i lose 15 pounds from doing this?

    lets see…you would have to find out how many calories your body requires to maintain your current weight… if its more than 1000 calories, which is probably is, then you would subtract the difference. You have to lose or burn a total of 3500 calories to lose 1 pound.. do the math..

    How much do you weigh and how tall are you? I highly doubt you are done growing, so I’m surprised your doctor is encouraging you to diet. I encourage you to eat healthy and keep exercising everyday with the Wii or by going out (when it warms up). As you continue to grow, you will grow into the extra weight while looking and feeling healthy.

    Please, though, don’t start calorie counting at your age and worrying too much about your weight. You are already doing the right thing by exercising daily. Just make sure you are eating well, and before you know it, you will have a nice fit body.

    I don’t reckon Wii Fit would help very much. Look for some workout videos on youtube so that you can do more exercises indoors. Much better than Wii.
