How can I truthfully lose 15 pounds with little effort?

I’m attempting to start a diet. I don’t get caught up in the holiday treats — not like most people. So, it doesn’t matter when I start. You can guarantee that I’ll eat a lot on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day….perhaps new years eve too. no other days should be a problem. What is a excellent diet? What are some tips?
I’m 5.7, 40 years ancient, a female and weigh 155.

    I had success with the Glycemic Index Diet (G.I. Diet). It’s really simple to follow and the creator/author split up all foods into three categories: Red Light, Yellow Light & Green Light.

    Red light foods you stay away from, yellow light foods should be consumed very small and then more so once you’ve achieved your weight. Green light foods are eat as much as you want. You can buy the book at any bookstore or on amazaon.com.

    It’s a diet where the author really states to try & stick with it 80-85% of the time because real life happens. There are going to be times when you are going to eat the red light foods…but just don’t over do it or do it too often. You really don’t feel terrible for sneaking in that chocolate bar or bag of chips every now & again.
